Classic Bird Scientific Drawings

These two puzzles were commissioned as Christmas gifts. The commissioner wanted to ease any added difficulty by removing the large white spaces surrounding the subject for each print. To do this, the puzzles were contoured around the birds on most sides.
Autumn Trees

This puzzle was commissioned as a birthday gift and there was a desire for extra difficulty. The trees in the puzzle already provided a higher level of difficulty due to the repetitive small details but additional difficulty was added by incorporating non-interlocking edges and some disguised corners. One of the four corners was left intact to trick the puzzler into assuming all corners did exist. The feedback on this puzzle from other friends and family of the commissioner was extreme frustration and that there must be something wrong with me to design such a puzzle. Regardless, the recipient absolutely loved the added tricks!
